Minority Firm, iProv, LLC, Named 2006 Most Promising Business of the Year
LITTLE ROCK, AR (October 19, 2006) – iProv, LLC, a Little Rock-based software development company was named Most Promising Business of the Year at the 17th Annual Minority Enterprise Development Week Luncheon last Thursday by the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.

iProv (www.iProvOnline.com) creates software solutions focusing on information management and data security. According to co-owner, RJ Martino, iProv is committed to providing technical expertise to meet client objectives by creating unique, useful, and efficient applications and utilizing other modern technologies such as high-level programming languages and various Internet technologies. Established as an LLC 5 years ago in June, 2001, iProv is managed by RJ and Roxane Martino, a brother-sister team from Bryant.
The Minority Enterprise Development (MED) WeeK is a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce – Minority Business Development Agency and highlighted by President Ronald Reagan through a national proclamation in 1983 to recognize the accomplishments of minority business firms nationwide. It is the only federal agency created specifically to foster the establishment and growth of minority-owned businesses in America. The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Minority and Women Business Council through the facilitation of Joyce Raynor have hosted local MED Week Activities over the past decade.
The criteria for selection of the Most Promising Business of the Year award include the following: companies must have been in business for at least a full year, they must have demonstrated through financial records and staff increase potential for growth, they must have had all valid state licenses to own and operate a company, they must have been operated in the state of Arkansas and they must be at least 51% minority or woman owned.
Along with technical qualifications, iProv was also required to demonstrate the company’s successes and development achievements, civic and community service work, as well as positive customer satisfaction and service references.
“We could not be more thrilled to have been given this honor by the Chamber. We work so hard to keep our clients and team happy, this is just a great way to reaffirm that we’re doing something right. We look forward to working so much more with area business and government agencies and hope that this award gives us a step in the right direction toward giving iProv some credibility and hopefully even more work,” RJ Martino said.
